PUMPKIN SPICE EVERYTHING IS HERE! I am so excited for Fall if you can’t already tell. September is always a bit of a crazy but exciting month. My mom’s birthday, my birthday and then my parent’s anniversary! So with all of that being said, chillier weather is upon us, and what better way to welcome it than a cozy spa night at home??
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
— favorite candle
— favorite movie
— some good tunes (check out my Autumn Vibes playlist on Spotify)
— bath bomb
— small towels
— wine or green juice or chai or whatever you’re feelin
— food because what’s a night in without it
HOW TO START RELAXING:
FIRST— take off all your makeup, cleanse, and light that candle babe! I don’t know what it is about lighting candles that makes me feel cozy and calm, but it works. Plus they smell good so. My fav ever candle is the scent Volcano from CapriBlue.
SECOND— get a bath running and turn on those jams girl! Drop in the bath bomb you chose. The hot water + steam will open up your pores (getting ready for the face mask) while your muscles relaxxxxxx. Bath bombs tend to have things that help make your skin feel super soft, on top of making your bath look boujee as ever. My favorites are Sex Bomb and Intergalactic from Lush Cosmetics.
NEXT— dry off, get your robe or sweats on, and lets put that face mask on! My favorites at the moment are the Detox Mask from MuddyBody, Reset & Revive from MAC, and Jet Lag Mask from Summer Fridays. Otherwise they have clay and sheet masks at Target that don’t cost as much!
MOVIE TIME— grab your drink and food and head over to the couch for some Bride Wars! Or whatever movie you decided on ;) Rom Coms are my absolute favorite genre to watch on my “Self Care” nights.
PAUSE— ok babe, pause your movie for just a sec.
REMOVING A CLAY MASK: Time to pull out those small towels. Run some water and get it really warm. Once the water is super hot, put your wash cloth under it and get it completely wet. Now squeeze all the water out of your wash cloth and gently place it on your face. Let it sit there for a second, letting the steam open your pores (prepping your skin for the rest of your skincare routine). Now use the towel to gently wipe off the remainder of your mask.
REMOVING A SHEET MASK: Yes, this is simple, you just take it off. However, to continue our relaxation theme, gently massage the rest of product into your skin. Massage helps get circulation flowing, assisting in a glowy complexion.
REMOVING A PEEL MASK: slowly peel off the mask and take a warm wash cloth to remove any further product
NOW— after removing your mask follow up with your nightly skincare routine! And now you can go back to watching your movie! You can even paint your nails at this point!
You are all set to have a super relaxing spa night at home! Let me know how you love to spend a relaxing night to yourself!
